Smart fortwo metal sump / oil pan with drain plug kit from our new 'Smarter' range, to facilitate home servicing of your smart car.
Kit comprises:
- Oil pan with Drain plug
- Tube of instant gasket
- FREE paper cartridge oil filter.
The original sump doesn't have a drain plug, so you either have to take it to Mercedes for a service, or purchase a suction pump tool to remove the old oil by sucking it up through the dipstick tube, which doesn't get rid of all the oil, nor does it remove any debris that might gather at the bottom of the sump, thus is not healthy for the engine in the long term.
This sump has a drain plug at the lowest point, so you can carry out a conventional oil change and not worry about any of the old oil or bits getting left behind.
This is a direct replacement for the original steel non draining sump, as it is exactly the same shape and same capacity as the original sump.
Same oil pan for all engine sizes / will fit ALL models of smart fortwo city coupe and cabrio (pure passion pulse) with the 599cc and 698cc petrol and 800cc diesel engines from 1999 to 2007 including Brabus.
Not compatible with 800cc diesels after 2007.
